STORE BROUGHT: Store brought computers are probably better for most of us unless you are going to computer school and they tell you otherwise. Most computer schools will give a custom built computer, however If you own your own business then getting a computer custom built is the way for you. The good thing about a store brought computer is that its ready to be purchased now rather later. You just walk in and take one right off the shelf .
CUSTOM BUILT: Custom Built computers are good but they will also cost you a lot more money. Take all the extra hardware and software, that alone will drive up the cost of a custom built computer. Memory is also an extra feature, If you want to add more memory then it will cost you. Adding a blu-ray drive will cost you extra. Remember anything that you want to add on will cost you extra. Plus custom computers will also take a lot longer to be shipped to you then store brought, usually I saw about anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the kind of features you want included with the computer/laptop.
