If you have a gsm cell phone, and your phone is quad-band or tri-band, ie. it supports gsm frequencies of 850 & 1900 mhz. against 900 & 1800 mhz in india.For cdma cell phone, its a complex thing, nokia 6275 works well there, i took it there while international roaming with reliance cdma, but before that i had to update its PRL here in india. for cdma 1900 mhz phone or say a dual band phone will work there, i would go for nokia 6275 for trouble-free usage there, but plz check for programming update(PRL).
